Default Ring games vs. SNGs

For similar stakes, which are more profitable for a good player - SNG's or ring games?

I have been playing ring games until the past few months, and now I have taken to SNGs. Although my stakes have been smaller - playing 5's and 10's rather than 1/2 NL - I have the perception that SNG's are more profitable with less variance. Does anyone play both routinely that can offer an opinion about which is higher EV to concentrate on?

I think its commonly accepted that sngs have significantly less variance than ring games. Thus I feel you could reason that you could play higher limits with a smaller roll making them more profitable.

Of course, it depend on whether you are better at SnG's or ring games.
