How do $5 SNG\'s compare to $10 SNG\'s?
Right now I am playing the $5+1 SNG's at Party(I am trying to build a bankroll, then move up to the $10+1 SNG's ASAP)
The play at the $5 SNG's is terrible, can I expect more of the same at the $10+1's? |

Yes, pretty much the same.
Except theres typically an all-in 1st or 2nd hand in a 5+1. They wait a little bit for that in a 10+1. Play is terrible in both. |

Just skip the 5.5s and move up to the 11s.

Disagree. The play at the 5's is ALWAYS terrible. At the 10's its sometimes terrible but sometimes you can run into a few decent players.
play a ton of both one night, try not to notice which is which and see how you are doing on either after 50 each or so. |

Re: How do $5 SNG\'s compare to $10 SNG\'s?
My experience:
At the $5s - 1 or 2 decent players, rest awful At the $10s - anywhere from 2 to 4 decent players, 2 weak-tight but OK players and rest awful So, yeah, I think the $10s are a little more competitive than the $5s. |

Re: How do $5 SNG\'s compare to $10 SNG\'s?
I think the 10's are a bit better than the fives, but you can get people to fold in the 10's easier. 5's are better for waiting for people to kill themselves and walking into the money, but you'll get calls on your bluffs all the time, so you can get snapped off easy that way. 10's you have to fight for your money more instead of just walking into it when everyone implodes from their own bad play or gets eaten by blinds. But that's no real problem; if you're good enough to beat the 5's, you can beat the 10's too. There's not a big skill difference going on. You will occasionally bump into better players, though, which is not something you see all that much at the 5's.
I'm doing better in the 10's than I did in the 5's, and I only started playing SNG's (more than like one a month) just a few weeks ago. The lower rake alone means you can actually do worse at the 10's and probably still do better than you would in the 5's. A week or so ago I started a thread about this called something like Should Newbies Skip the 5+1's, or something like that. Lots of great replies on it; you really should check it out. It's probably half a dozen or more pages back by now. |

Re: How do $5 SNG\'s compare to $10 SNG\'s?
I havent played in the 6s, but the answer i suppose its more idiots on the 6s, less rake in the 11s. But really just play the 11s and build ur bankroll there.
