Default Signs of life on Mars

http://www.space.com/scienceastronom...s_methane.html

Several articles on this page.

Basically there is water and methane evidence that suggests biological activity on mars, and I don't mean in a past tense.

The U.S. needs to stop playing around with these tinker toys and send humans there.

That's an odd thing to say considering his support of the NASA program in comparison to the Clinton administration cuts.

True, I'm not happy with Bush's budget cuts. I just lost a dream job thanks to Bush. He makes some horrible decisions, but NASA cuts are not one of them.

2003 and 2004 aren't shown but they are much higher now.

Complex carbons on Titan

Scientists believe that Titan's atmosphere may be a laboratory for studying the organic chemistry that preceded life and provided the building blocks for life on Earth. The role of the upper atmosphere in this organic "factory" of hydrocarbons is very intriguing to scientists, especially given the large number of different hydrocarbons detected by Cassini during the flyby.
......

Hydrocarbons containing as many as seven carbon atoms were observed, as well as nitrogen- containing hydrocarbons (nitriles).

[/ QUOTE ]Just imagine what it would be like to go on that mission. I doubt the rewards would outweigh five or so years of being with just a few other people, never knowing if you will return and so forth. Making the greatest discoveries ever would not compensate for the psychological scars.
