Why to complete from SB in level 1
It is 5 freakin chips. Just play for the flopped straight, flush or two pair or 3 of a kind with any 2, it is worth it I think. I used to fold everything but for 5 chips, you can bust someone...

Re: Why to complete from SB in level 1
In lower buyin tourneys I call just about everything for 5 chips. (I fold the worst hands like 72o, but I'll call with T6o, or 43o everytime.) The people that suggest folding halfway decent hands for 5 chips like JTo or Axs are just playing badly. |

Re: Why to complete from SB in level 1
I don't complete with absolute junk (no 3-8 off calls), but with A2 or K8, as long as I haven't already short stacked myself this easier I complete.....then again I don't play as tight early as y'all do.
Crap like A2 and K8 are powerful hands to get 2 pair with, because likely someone will have top pair and you'll have them reverse dominated. Worth it for 5 chips at least, to me... |

Re: Why to complete from SB in level 1
The best is when you win a big hand or even bust someone with like J9o and the table coach goes nuts and calls you a fish, dumbass, idiot, etc. Makes me laugh every time .

Re: Why to complete from SB in level 1
I'll still play stoopid hands like 72o, hold my nose, and hope I hit a longshot. "Only 5 chips" indeed.
