Since my hand was fairly dead, should I have checked 6th?

Reads:
Seat 0 is slightly loose aggerssive.
Seat 6 is very aggressive, and quite loose. He's been seen double betting a pair of 3s, and the betting to the river (and on the river) with just a pair of 3s.

I'm betting on 5th because i figure to have the best hand or at least a good draw to the best hand, and seat 6 might not let us see free cards anyway.

I think you should fold third, otherwise I think you did fine. Your opponent's hands weren't very live either, you should definitely not be giving free cards here.
