Default So I folded KTo this one time on the bubble

So, I folded this because of the two tiny stacks. If either of the other stacks has more than 1000 chips I push and pray. I am now starting to second guess that line of thinking and managed to convince myself that the big stack (who was a very good player who was a little loose with his pushes) would call and bust me.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (4 handed) converter

saw flop|saw showdown

SB (t7895)
BB (t570)
Hero (t1320)
Button (t215)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t600) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets t300, BB folds.

Turn: (t900) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t900) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t900

Results in white below:
SB has 3d 2s (two pair, eights and threes).
Button has Qh Ac (one pair, eights).
Outcome: SB wins t900.

Focus: Basically I folded into the money and placed second. Was this a huge wuss play? Is this ever an apprpopriate line of thinking. The Big stack would likely have called any all in from either small stack.

Don't even consider pushing here. Folding into the money is often the best strategy and certaintly is in this case.

"that the big stack (who was a very good player who was a little loose with his pushes"

I assume by that you mean he's been throwing his weight around big time and is the reason none of you have many chips. This is the way he should do it

I can't see how you can do anything but fold. KT won't be far ahead when it is ahead, and you have enough chips to survive a few rounds. You'd be very unlucky if someone isn't knocked out before then.

I play it the same. You're not playing for first anymore.
