Default How is vegas poker near/on Thanksgiving?

Thinking about heading there for the Teus/Wed/Thurs of Thanksgiving week. Although poker isn't the primary purpose (wife and I always go on vacation this week), I will of course want to his the tables after I bundle the missus off to the spa. Are the games totally flat around this period, average for middle of the week games or booming with tourists? Would the Fri/Sat time period be better? I'd most likely be playing the 4-8 at the Mandalay because that is where we would likely be staying.

Thanks.

The 4-8 games in Vegas really don't change very much on a daily basis. Of course the weekends are a little better, but I wouldn't say that it'll be dead or anything. You might be interested in Mandalay Bay's hold-em freezeout tourny held every morning $25 buy-in. The 4-8 there is good every night though, also, during Thanksgiving there is a bit of a tourist crowd around, so it won't be the typical mid-week scene.

In my opinion one of the best times to play, lots of tourists, lots of gambling, lots of opportunity to make $$$. Those two games you asked about are always live at that time. I prefer the 15-30 though.
