utg folds, i raise with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], villain 3-bets, folded to me, i cap, she calls.

flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - 2 players - 9.5 sbs

i bet, she calls.

turn: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - 2 players - 5.5ish bbs

i bet, she raises, hero ???//???

feel like i walked into something here?

The turn raise is a pretty strong move for a passive player.

However, I think you still have to call down with an overpair and payoff.

I don't like to fold overpairs HU, with a bluffable, but not overly scary board against a player that I have only 80 hands on. I call down.

i don't know, a player this passive semibluff raises the turn against a pf capper who has shown nothing but aggression?

80 hands isn't a ton. And I don't expect to win here often. But I still call down, because I like to call down and stuff. Maybe 5/10 has jaded me.

I have recently learned that this isn't really that passive. With a VPIP of 40, an aggression ration of 1 isn't really that passive. They're betting and raising that much with a much larger # of hands. It would be fun to come up with some sort of forumula to find out what the agression rating would equate to if the VPIP for this player was 15...any math genius out there?

No way am I folding. I just call down. A lot of worse hands will get a raise on the turn with this board.

although I agree: loosness PF can, in practice, artificially reduce postflop agg factor.

I just read through that post, thanks for the link. Would it make sense that if they're going to the turn or showdown with frequency coupled with a high VPIP and an AF of 1 that they link would would be logical?
