Default Call, push or fold? A midweek quiz.

Okay, here is the situation:

The game is five-handed, and everyone has approximately t1500-2000 - you are at 1800. The blinds have just gone up, and are at t100/200. You are on the button, and UTG and UTG+1 both limp. What do you do with the following hands?

Can't we just raise 3BB?

This is much more player/table dependant than you may think. I'm willing to play any of those hands for a call/fold/raise/push depending on the situation.

I'd fold everything, except the 9s. I'd push those, but you have to be very wary of limpers UTG.

I just voted for "fold" 6 times, and Yugo said "it depends"? Since when am I tighter than Yugo?

I agree with you in principle, but wanted to get the sense of the community about the strength of these hands. It always depends, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss.

I probably should have added that it's a $11 table at Party, and you are multi-tabling, so you have no good reads at this point.

Given the new sh!t that just came to light...we are in agreement. Just keep in mind, with this poker thing, there are a lot of ins, lots of outs, a lot of what have yous.

And also, don't you want to employ your patented 'Van Sexton' here??

Who is capable of playing any of these hands various ways depending on the table in this situation...and still thinks this is a heavily contextual quiz.

Heh, I pushed 4 out of 6. Perhaps I'm a bit too aggressive. I used to think I was the opposite.

Ya, I posted this in part because I went through a losing streak when I pushed with hands like this (well, not the A5) and was called by UTG with his AJ. For a while my question was "Why is that idiot limping short-handed with AJ, and then calling an all-in?" After a few bubble exits, my question became, "Is the idiot here the guy pushing into a crowd with a mediocre hand?" Consensus seems to be that I was the idiot.

Aggro is good, but let's not get stupid, shall we?

Thanks all,

Sam
