Was this AQs call and flop raise ok?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Hero wins $17.75. </font> These are the notes I took on the villain with my 20 mins of play: "Makes pot-size bet on flop with mid-pair when in late position. Does not respect raises. Min-raises with AXs" Was this properly played? Should I have waited to raise him and allowed him to bluff perhaps? EDIT: I know nothing much happened on this hand. But I end up getting confused with little things and start doubting my choices. |

Re: Was this AQs call and flop raise ok?
Raise way more. His weak lead is most likely an AK that missed or a scared JJ, but he could easily have a couple diamonds in his hand (AJ[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], AK[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]).
Also, that is a pretty huge PF raise, and I would probably fold this without any good reads, unless you know he will raise that much without AK/AA/KK/QQ, which you have nothing about in your notes. |
