are there any codes i should use before playing? i want to enjoy the game, but also have a semi challenge. not enough of a challege that i get frustrated, but a decent one.

i've heard that using the cheat codes will cause the game to break in places. it's an awesomely fun game...

I haven't had any problems with it.
The game is much more fun when you use the weapon codes.
