Default Foxwoods O/8 tournament

I played my third big tournamnet last week. It was the $500 Omaha/8 event at Foxwoods. There were 183 players and they paid the top 15 players. With tight solid play I managed to get 14th place. This is the first time I have cashed.

I was fairly shorted stacked at the dinner break when we had 37 players. But I managed to scoop a pot and give me a little breathing room.

By 2.5 hours after the break I was short stacked again when a player raised my big blind. I decided to gamble with my A457s and try and get some chips by doubling up rather than hoping to move up one place before getting blinded off. Alas my second nut low and a pair of 7s lost to the nut low with a pair of Js.

Most excellent, dude!

I had some passing desire to try that tournament, but I still suck so badly at the game that I ultimately realized that I might just as well go hand my $500 to the nearest clueful person instead. (No, I didn't do that, either&gt

Congrats on making it to the money. That's better'n bein' poked in the eye with a stick.
