I don't know if I would be all to sure that someone would bet given the Preflop action. Plus checking gives any one on a striaght draw a posible freecard.

I wouldn't go for a check-raise in this situation, but I do not know if that is the correct play.

There's nobody to check-raise. I bet.

And I raise preflop.

I would raise preflop which pretty much eliminates the chance of a c-r on the flop.

In your case, with only two to act after you and no aggression preflop, you ran a good chance of whiffing here.

bet the flop. flush/straight draws will hang on 'til the end, but bet to fold backdoors and weak overcards that might fold.

plus you're ahead and have a backdoor straight draw yourself. (and i'd PRF raise with 99 too )

Raise PF. Postflop, with 7 in, bet right away.. A table that loose, someone's bound to have a 6, hit a pair, or a couple diamonds. Make em pay to draw 2p/str8/fl. What makes you think anyone in the last 2 positions is gonna bet? That'd really suck if someone beat you cuz you let em draw for free.
