Default 90 BB with JJ pre-flop (Party 50 6max)

SB in this game bought in short. Probably a typical bad shorstack player cause he has played about 1/2 of his 10 hands with that small a buy-in.

MP is horrible pre-flop. In almost all pots whether raised or not but hardly ever does any raising himself. I have seen him call a 7 raise PF (5.5 back to him) with 55 with about a 40 dollar stack. After the flop he usually goes into check-fold mode unless he hits a draw or a piece of the flop.

This standard here. I was definetly calling the shortstack's all in, but when MP called seems like the best thing to do is push given the read. Good chance they are sharing Ace outs, small possibility that SB could have me beat but I am very very likely ahead of MP and he might get away on the flop.

Seems weird putting so much in PF with JJ, but I think this is standard given the read and the short stack right? Especially since I raised from the button.

I made a similar move today with queens. Early position raise. I re-raised and the guy went all-in. Had I gone all-in, he would have called, because he had aces. Of course, I figured he had aces, but I just couldn't make the laydown. And against you, I would be right not to.

Yeah, but were you a small stacked apparently bad player. JJ is not a hand I am typically looking to get 90 bb in pre-flop, but this situation was not typical. If BB had had a bigger stack and/or MP was somewhat rational this hand would have been an easy muck pre-flop.

Looks good as long as you think MP will fold

Fold, I wanted him to call which is why I pushed!! No way would I expect him to fold QQ or better. Based on my read he is the least of my worries. With the side pot with him I want to have the additional likely minium slight EV (possibly huge EV) given that I would guess he either has a smaller PP or some sort of A.

Sorry misread the post, thought you were refering to the shortstack as the horrible player.

Even if I had a read that MP isn't a horrible pre-flop player IF I decide to play this hand my main goal would be to try and get the most value out of his worse hands so I still wouldn't want him to fold. If I make this call I am pretty much playing for my stack, maybe I can lay down if an A flops. I don't think there would be very much fold equity if he had QQ and none if he had KK,AA. So if not for my read I might go for a call instead of a re-raise all-in since he might be trying to over-call/bluff with a not so great hand thinking I was just making a standard button raise but had no goods to call with. Then I would have a chance for him to bet into me on the flop and I can extract more value. If he was decent and I pushed then he might be able to fold something I don't want him to pre flop. This is all of course IF I decided to play this hand.

Turn's out I was in about as good a situation as I could hope for as I had my opponents drawing to the same two outs. And lucky for me they didn't come.

I like this hand a lot. As I'm reading this, I'm actually thinking, "I know these players." ie... the shortstacked guy who goes all in with A5os and the maniac who calls him with 9-Js...

If you're going to gamble once in a while, it might as well be against these kind of idiots!

I read your results... like I said above, I feel like I was playing against these guys last night. Glad the best hand held up!
