Default Heard of Ray D ?

Full name: Ray Dehkharghani

I just got back from the Party Poker cruise tonight and I've had a difficult time finding much on the web out about this high stakes, heads up specialist.

The reason I'm asking is because the only time I saw this guy the whole time on the boat, and certainly the only time in the cardroom was when he played my brother 200/400 heads up holdem. Other high stakes players confirmed he is a great player and consider him one of the best heads up players in the world.

Why haven't I heard of him before? Anyone else know anything else about this guy?

he's been around for a long time. playing 200-400 to 400-800 usually, but he might play higher now. very good player, and seems to be a decent guy also. what do you want to know?

he isn't known for playing tournaments. who is your brother and how did he do against ray?

My brother is not someone you've heard of yet.

He's 20 yrs old and has only played poker for about a year and a half but has gained enough confidence and accumulated a pretty good sized bankroll to take shots at higher games with a stop loss requirements. His regular games have been the 15/30 on party, 40/80 on paradise and some higher games on the european sites.

On the ship, he did very well in the 100/200 and 200/400 full games on his first night and accepted the challenge from Ray not knowing who he was. Its funny, cause before he knew who he was, my brother comes running over to my 40/80 game and tells me that they go tons of bets on a ragged board when my brother flopped a set and turns out Ray only had king high but they chopped on a 10BB pot when they played the board for a straight. He thought he had found a lucky fish!

Only about an hour after the heads up match started, the game became 4 handed and he ended up down overall in the game that night, but he felt they had gotten lucky

When you lose heads up/shorthanded they always "get lucky"
