Leaving Las Vegas: Heavy Sh_t
Damn. That was one depressing motherfucking movie.
Pretty amazing, but I can't say I enjoyed watching it too much. I think this movie was similar but much better than Requiem for a Dream in that it didn't try to knock you over the head with any moral or hidden messages. If theres one thing I hate seeing in movies, it's sexual violence. The movie, post rape scene, was really really sad. Has anybody watched this movie more than once? Why? |

There's a dramatic rape scene?
Thanks for the spoiler warning, Ebert. (I never watch Nic Cage films anyway, so no sweat off my nose...) |

Re: Leaving Las Vegas: Heavy Sh_t
it sorta dispelled the image of the glamour of alcoholism - (when playing music, you almost never see teh downside) -
so I watched it a couple times along with the Shane Macgowan story...sorta reminds me once in a while to leave the extra drinks at the bar. RB |
