Default # of players/starting hands

how much would u change ur starting hands for a 3 person game compared to a five or six person game. my basic guideline is from HEPFAP, the shorthanded section, but was curious how much this might change when considering # of opponents.

thx

HEPFAP = Hold'em Poker For Advanced Players.

As for the original question, I would play any hand which I think will win if I flop a pair.
