$1M in 5 Years---Help!

I will not attempt to describe my actual situation, because it would not be believed---think extremely unwise, inebriated proposition bet.

Anyways, suppose that you need your net worth to exceed $1M in 5 years given the following parameters:
- You are 20 yrs. old.
- You will finish a MS in computer science in 2 months.
- You have a job offer of $47k/yr in an area with very low cost of living.
- Your current liquid assets are approx. $20k.
- You have sufficient motivation to work any hours and endure anything within reason (e.g. not sodomy) to achieve your goal.

Any suggestions at all? Given the above, what is the probability of succeeding? [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

if it was a serious goal of yours and you were really focused i'm sure you could. i would take the job first off. work there for at least a year and you'll not only develop skills, but establish connections.

to make the cool mill. you'll probably have to create your own startup.

I'm telling you, it's not really a plausible situation, which is why I said imagine you've somehow made a prop bet with Russian mafia or something. I'm trying to see if there are any themes to how OOT'ers would approach this.
