Default Why u should raise AA pf or \"Don\'t give me 4 of a kind\"

SB seems decent, UTG?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, 3 folds, SB raises, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, SB caps, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (12 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, BB folds, UTG calls, Hero caps, SB calls, UTG calls.

River: (25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, UTG calls, Hero raises, SB calls, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 31 BB

Results in white below:

Obviously I won. Not so obviously UTG had AA and SB had KJo. Had UTG raised pf I would have folded and he would have won the put against KJ.....

You would have folded 77 to one raise? I wouldn't

I don't really like the limp in MP1 after one limper. MP1's kind of early to be raising to protect, but I think I'd still be doing it. You should generally be avoiding coldcalls with pocket pairs when you can't depend on a big field, accepted is 5:1, don't know if that changes when it's 10:2.

You would cc with 77 from an UTG raiser?

Depends on UTG, and table texture. At these limits, most games are passive enough that I can count on two or three CC's behind me. If the table is too tight, then no, but then I'd usually switch tables too.

Anyway, I've previously had bad CC'ing habits, which I am trying to cut down. Maybe this is one of those spots.

Let me ask you a question:

Do you raise AA pf hoping that hands like 77 will fold or call?
