Party 10+1 SnGs
I am going to play 200 of these in the next two weeks. I was wondering what sort of stats some of the experianced players have had with a large number of Sng's. I am off to a horrible start. In the first 10 I played I have not made the money and have had 4 4ths with things like AK vs a6 and the such.
Should I be overly concerned about going 10 SnG's without a cash? Or are there gonna be downswins this big for even a winning player? Before this I was 4BB/100 over 45k hands at Party 25NL and 50NL. My goal for SnG's is to play the 50+5's this summer 20 a day. |

Er! Does that mean under $1 an hour at the $25 tables? If I'm understanding this right $1/100 hands, 65 cents/hour? then you may not understand the game anywhere near enough to beat the $10 sngs. Lori |

Re: Party 10+1 SnGs
Let me just say this.....the smaller the buy in on an sng the looser the table. Thats just my rule of thumb. Sure the 100s and up can be loose as well and sometimes down right amateur , youll get alot of people who just will play a 10 because its cheap and if they loose its only 10 bucks. And talking about loosing with AK to A6, its going to happen. To tell you the truth if the best hand won every time then you would not have as many people playing and what fun is it to be drawing dead preflop. Just be careful on how strong you play a hand. If he will call your all-in with A6 preflop then whats to say what else they will call you with. The only thing i say to do to limit your frustrations is to play very tight in early blinds and dont get too aggressive and over play hands....then when blinds get up loosen up a bit.

Re: Party 10+1 SnGs
I play primarily for fun so calculating hourly rates is not my thing. I can tell you what my experience has been at the $5/1 and $10/1 though. I played 40 games in two weeks and was in the money for 40% of them. The first week I was really cleaning up and doubled my investment, the second week I lost it all.
Ive been told that this is part of poker and should have a large enough bankroll to walk through the downswings. Maybe you should post some of your hands here so people could give you a little insight on your ability. |

Here are my numbers that may (or may not) make you feel better. Tourneys played: 192 ITM: 38% ROI: 2% My latest bustouts: AKo vs AKs (AKs hits his flush) AKo vs 88 (that’s why it’s a coin flip) QQ vs A2o (the dreaded river A) AJ vs KK (behind the whole way) AA vs 88 (both in pre-flop and he flopped a set) It’s a long road, so you better get used to it or switch to limit (where instead of the knife in the back, you get the death of a thousand cuts). |

Re: Party 10+1 SnGs
To answer your questions.
If you are a good winning player, you could have a 40% ROI and still not cash for 15 in a row. I would however be a little concerned that you didn't even reach the final four on six occasions, but it still could easily be variance. I'm sorry to repeat the initial post, but you will not beat the $50s if you can't make $3-$4/hr/table in the Party $25 NL ring. Those games are trivial. Lori |

And multitabling, you can get in well over 100 hands per hour, especially if it's 6-max, right? |

Blinds are .1/.25 I mean $/table/hour. Lori |

Re: Party 10+1 SnGs
The last time that I played a party 10+1 SNG it was an all-in fest. Its just a crap shoot.
