Without a read, my vote is for stupid.

But I'm glad it worked out for you.

When u call on the flop you decide that you are ahead, probably that he his on a weaker kicker or on a flush draw (although unlikely), and that you are going to be deeply involved. Surely then you plan to push on the turn if a favorable card comes along.

When the two comes I would bet, failing that him checking behind me would tell me that either
- He lost interest in the pot or wants to get a way cheap (unlikely to involve this much and then give up, but possible)
- He actually is on a flush draw and his move on the flop sas intending to deceive you and get a free card, wich he did

So when he moves all in on the riverI would definitly put him on a flush, although this time he didn t have it, I think most players will have it.

My play: similar preflop, then raise/fold on the flop: don't want to get too involved so quickly, I would insted reraise all in if it was level 4

So much for the "a worse hand will not call that big a bet" theory.

This early I probably just limp preflop.

On the flop, you either need to fold to the raise (he's representing a better hand, but I think folding is a little weak here) or be prepared to get all in.

So since you've called, get your chips in on the turn. Many hands (flush draws and others) have outs on you, so don't give them a free card. The pot is big (725) so the only bet big enough to kill his pot/implied odds is all in.

Hard spot to be in with no reads, hence why I prefer to limp and play a smaller pot this early.
