When I have J4o, somebody else voluntarily put chips into the pot and then the flop comes KQJ I generally don't bet it, even HU.

You got outplayed on the river, but that happens. I'd check fold long before that point, though.

I would play the hand the same way except for the river. I bet the flop because most of the time he folds. I check the turn, because I don't want this to turn into a big pot. I check the river because I don't trust my opponent to fold anything that beats J4 here.
