Default Stop n Go what are the general requirments?

After reading Adanthars rreply to scuba I realized I wasn't sure i fully understood Stop n Go strategy.ie what situations they are correct. If someone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it.(others would too I'm sure)

Generally speaking two important requirements.

First - and most important - position.
Second - generally a meek chip stack.

I remember seeing a post by Fossilman on the Stop-n-Go a while ago. You can try using the "search" function or google to find it. I'm sure it will tell you all you need.
