Default ITM, is this too aggressive here?

Again, I somehow manage to get 3rd when I have the majority of the chips.

Do you make the same play here? I was assuming (wrongly so) that the middle stack would fold everything besides premium cards in order to play for 2nd. I was wrong as he pushed with KJ which obviously I had to call and he hit a K and left me short.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (3 handed) converter

SB (t1100)
BB (t2550)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Flop: (t5300) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: (t5300) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t5300) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t5300

which obviously I had to call

Anytime you will obviously have to call a reraise from your deepest opponent, you should just push. I'd have pushed these 2's without thinking twice about it.

If you were willing to call his allin, you should have gone allin in the first place. PUSH.

Yeah I know I should have pushed, I thought the 1500 raise would have got the job done, but next time will be a push.

As a corrollary to this, if you don't want to have to call don't raise so much. I will make it 1000 here somewhat often, as it is enough to get a fold most of the time but gives you a chance to get away if he comes over the top if you don't feel like gambling.

The only thing that sucks about that, is all of the times you lay your 2's down and he doesn't have a pair, you've just made a big mistake.

I know that wasn't the point of your reply, just wanted to point that out.

yeah i'm gonna push with 2s. But with ahnds like A5 or something it sometimes helps to have an out, although usually this is more of a concern when the BB has a few more chips.

Easy allin IMO, however theres not much of a difference between 1500 and allin. Not really sure why you chose the former?? What's your reason?
