Default how would you play it?

the table had been rather tight for the most part with few pots really being played by guys out of position.

im still kind of a rookie when it comes to sng's and i got into a dispute with a friend over how to play this hand and im curious to see what the answer comes back on here.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (7 handed) converter

MP2 (t1335)
CO (t480)
Button (t825)
SB (t2540)
BB (t740)
UTG (t545)
Hero (t1535)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG raises to t100, Hero???

it's probably not the most interesting or thought provoking question, but any helpful answers would be greatly appreciated.

i wasnt expecting this to get looked at much as i felt it was pretty straight forward to fold here.

but by the way my friend was insisting i should at least call...i thought i might have missed something.

thanks.

Well, you can't just call here, the raiser isn't deep enough to let you play this for set value. If you both had 2000 chips, maybe you can just call. I'd say the value of your options goes fold > push > call.
