Default Starting hands

I have come across this quite interesting site regarding Sklansky and Malmuth's starting hand guide. http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/People/mummert/poker/. What they say and the recommended alterations they make seem to be logical but I'm no expert on the subject and was just wondering what other more people made of the alterations and whether they thought the corrections had a sound logical basis.
