Default Working with non-normal distributions - good website needed

Can anyone recommend a good website for learning about how to work with non-normal distributions? One of the problems I am working on involves data that is heavily right-skewed, but I'd ideally still like to perform meaningful confidence intervals on the dataset (which, I believe, is typically reserved for normal distributions).

Any ideas? Thanks, in advance, for any responses and help.
