Default Help me choose a TV for my bedroom.

It will be viewed mostly from 4 feet away and from 15 feet away. I don't need anything huge like I would for a living room. What would the right size be? HD is a must.

Thanks very much.

I just have one of these. YOu may find it a little small, as mine is ONLY viewed from 4-6 ft. and not 15 ft. Good TV though.

4 feet is my desk, where I play cards. Being able to watch tv while I play is important, or at least having the background noise.

15 feet away is my bed. Your bathroom idea is interesting tho, I may have to rearrange my bedroom.

you will be disgusted with anything small once you see how good it looks from 4 feet away (unless you buy a [censored] tv). hd should be *BIG*.

But 32" would suffice right. I think anything bigger than that would be excessive, my room isn't very big.

it would be ok but you're going to be missing out from the bed. if that's not a big deal it's not a big deal. i sit about 10' away from a 60" in my living room and i wouldn't want it ANY smaller. when i was in nyc i had to watch a 42" plasma at 15' and it was literally torture by comparison for hd/dvd.

Do you need a flat panel in order to save space or are you OK with a huge box? If saving space is important look for a special on a 30ish inch LCD. Phillips, Panasonic and Toshiba are all good and their 30 inch wide screens can be gotten for around $1,000 to $1,200 if you shop around and wait for a good sale. If you don't need to save space you can get a 30" CRT wide screen for like $800 or so. Personally I wouldn't buy a main TV that wasn't wide screen at this point.

Don't buy a TV. Improve your computer.
