Default Big stack in BB w/J8s. Shortstack (4BB) on button pushes. Call?

50+5, no reads because of multi-tabling. 5 players left.
100/200 blinds just started.

Shortstack is button, has 4BB (800 chips). It's folded to him and he pushes. SB folds.

You are BB with the big stack <20BB (4000 chips)> and have w/8Js.

utg, co, and sb have about the same amount of chips.

8Js is a top 40% hand. Call the push?

so the other 3 have 2,000 chips?
When is it correct to keep the small stack around, when you have the big stack, so that you increase your folding equity vs the medium sized stacks? Is this not one of those situations?

I'm a $20 player trying to learn how to bully a bit better

I would fold here, although its debatable. Basically I want to ensure to keep my chip advantage, because in this scenario it means a lot and opens up repeated steal oppurtunities. If your hand was stronger I'd call.

I fold. You're not quite getting the right price to call with J8s. In a big MTT, I'd call with this in a flash. But here, I want to keep the short stack around, and steal for a few more hands.

btw there is no huge benefit to keeping a shortstack around when there are 5 players left. It makes more sense when there are 4 left.
