Default how poorly did I play this hand?

I'm the chip leader and this hand started my downfall.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (5 handed) converter

Hero (t2255)
MP (t1725)
Button (t1645)
SB (t1490)
BB (t885)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero raises to t200, MP calls t200, 3 folds.

Flop: (t550) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets t100, MP calls t100.

Turn: (t750) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets t400, Hero calls t400.

River: (t1550) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets t600, Hero folds.

Final Pot: t2150

I thought about pushing preflop, but then the flop trapped me into calling.

I'm not sure that I would even play this hand UTG, even 5 handed. I guess it depends on whether the table is loose or tight. If the blinds were 100/200 than I think it is a definate raise, but stealing 150 in blinds isn't going to do much for you right now.

I don't think raising is terrible but please don't min-raise here. Raise it up to 325. You are just asking for callers with a min-raise, especially from the blinds.

Luckily, you got a great flop. Your bet of 100 on the flop just screams weakness. I bet the pot here or go for a check raise all-in. Either way, I would have tried to pot commit myself.

The check on the turn just further convinces Villian that you don't have a hand and he took control. I'm really not sure how to play the turn here. I would have been all-in on the flop or be pot-committed and would have pushed the turn. In this particular situation, a case could be made to fold the turn but I'm not sure. Anybody else?

Good advice. Either play it stronger or don't play at all.

definetly play it stronger. There is no way that you should only bet 100 after that sexy of a flop.

You do realize there are at LEAST 2 things wrong with your closing statement, right?
#1 How can a flop change your mind on a preflop action?
#2 You didn't call the flop, you BET the flop. Weakly, at that.

First off, fold preflop. Second off, fold preflop, third off, pot flop, 4th off allin turn. 5th off, fold preflop.

Your right. What I meant to say was:

I considerd pushing preflop. After the flop I wanted to give my opponet an oppurtunity to fold. I called the turn because the flop had given me too many outs.

Flop bet was way too small.
