Should I fold these

This is the fifth hand of a tourney, so no reads yet.

I was looking for how many just try to show this down as cheaply as possible or even check-fold, because I find myself in these situations alot (Top pair, weak kicker) from the blinds and tend to lose more money than I should

Rather than betting t90 again on the turn, you should have just typed "I have an eight and a weak kicker. Unless you have a ten, a made set, or straight, please fold. You are behind. Otherwise, raise. You are on your honor not to bluff because I am scared of the board." You'll save an average of about t90 that way.

FWIW I'm check-folding the flop with a low top pair.

I was also asking for two pair to fold but yeah. That's about the answer I was expecting, I just needed someone to tell me to fold instead of always wishing I would have when I start the next hand X chips lighter.

Yeah. I forgot two pair in my list. The point is, even if (somehow) your pair of eights with the jack kicker is still good, there's no cheap way to get it to the showdown unless none of your opponents is daring enough to raise a conspicuously small turn or river bet. If you feel you absolutely have to win this particular pot instead of one where you have decent cards and position, you'd be better off overbetting rather than underbetting. If someone does have you beat, they get all your chips and you get the shame of having busted out early playing J8o.

My rule about crap hands early on the BB is that I'm folding anything less than a flopped two pair, no matter what.

Most important part of this hand is you should not bet the flop with such a weak hand against so many opponents. With 2-3 opponents you can take a shot, but with 5-6, it's just too weak. Too many players will call you or raise you, and youll be in a terrible spot on the turn too.

think reverse implied odds in this situation...your hand is ggod now but stands a good chance to not be at the end considering the amount of opponents. furthermore, the pot is smaller than my bankroll...avoid a big pot in this situation at all costs.

As it turned out you wasted 25% of your stack on this turdball hand.....something to think about.

Hand is probably best on the flop but there's only a few turn cards you don't mind seeing (J,8,3).

I basically have the same rule, except that I loosen up a little with TPWK or second pair against 1 or 2 opponents. I will occasionally bet the flop if checked to me in position, or I will bet a blank turn if the flop was checked through and I'm OOP. It's a single stab at the pot unless I improve, and I'm not risking many chips here since the pot is small.
