Hero raises to t9000, 6 folds, SB calls t7500, 1 fold.

Flop: (t17700) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets t13962 (All-In), Hero folds.

Final Pot: t31662

In 10 hands played together at the table, villan had open raised once and went to showndown with TT. Other than that, all folds. I think we're in the money at this point but don't remember. Can anyone justify a call here? Would you tend to call more if he VP$IP 13% or 26%?

I was at your table this hand. I would have pushed preflop, but yes I would have called when faced with the decision.

Guess I was too greedy and looking for more than just the blinds... what's your reasoning for calling? Odds? I figured he might play a mid ace like that.. AJ,AT.

The question is whats the higher chance, him having the A, or you being able to get to 18x after folding here and taking the blinds, leaving you at 4.5x.

True.. upon further reflection I suppose it does look like a classic stop and go with a low/mid pair. Ah well, lots to learn.
