Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) converter
Hero (t1835) UTG (t1320) Button (t3985) SB (t860) Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, SB pushes, Hero ??? This is probably a dumb question but I don't know what to do. |

Re: 22 bubble hand
I believe calling is clearly correct here. Pure chip-EVwise it's clear as day that calling is correct, the only important factor is whether or not it hurts your overall EV. My instincts tell me you need to take this +chip EV situation and call.

Re: 22 bubble hand
EV if you fold
.242 Call and win .341 Call and lose .167 I ran some ranges of hands and put 22 at about 45% to win .45 x .341 + .55 x .167 = .245 So from an ICM point of view it is really close and will depend on your opponants range of hands. If you are against someone who pushes any random cards here the ICM goes up to .254 which is a bit better, but still not hugely different. You will have good FE on the big blind next hand, but with the current button having more than twice as many chips as anyone else it is hard to count on steals. It is definately not a dumb question. Moving up to 44 or 55 makes a big difference. |

Re: 22 bubble hand
A read on SB would be real nice right now. Tough, tough decision here.
