Final Pot: t1440

I just saw the two limpers limp in Q9 and 97 (flop was JT8 and 97 called down!). Anyway, they rate to have trash, so I want to raise to either fold them, or make them pay for their crap.

Flop I just want to fire out and see if I get rid of them, I can fold easily enough ir raised, could get position, could get to see the river for free etc.

Worth firing into such a large crowd? Anyway, I did.

Now I hit on the turn. But I check behind to keep the pot small and/or induce a bluff. Basically, if I bet the flop, I am pot committed, and if I do get called, I am prolly behind. But then on the other hand, I am giving a free card on a draw heavy board.

What say ye?

Default Re: First post for while. AQ hand, checking behind on the turn.

I don't like it. The only street I like is the river.

Preflop, I guess Stars structure is different than party, where I play, but I don't raise AQ in early rounds with blinds this low. I especially don't, if that's possible, when there are limpers.

The flop bet, IMO, is way too dangerous into 4 opponents. I wouldn't make it against 3 either.

On the turn, normally this play has some merit, but this board is rediculously full of draws. On the other hand, JT just hit his straight, and you could already be up against a monster.

This is a really tough spot. You probably have the best hand, but probably don't if you get a big bet called. (I just realized you said this in your post, but I'm not gonna delete it.)

All things considered, I think I'd bet the turn. Actually, I'll push.

Actually, I'll use the "I wouldn't be in this position because I wouldn't have bet the flop" out. Yes! I'm free!
