Default Wrong Time for a Stand?

I am working on gettin more agg., as well as not getting pushed off my one pair hands as much.

SB is as LAG and tricky as they come w/o being a complete maniac.

sometimes there is no rhyme or reason, but he is a winning player i am pretty sure. he is a 38/20. with agg. flop #'s.

that all being said, still not sure about this one, the flop esp.

I like it; I dont see him having anything other than spades or maybe JT or something, unless hes completing and calling raises with garbage. It seems like he would raise a pair of treys or fives. If he called you with T5 or 35, then you just got unlucky, but I dont see how youre going to get away from this hand given the read on this player.

Purely out of curiosity, why such a small raise preflop? It seems like you'll be getting a lot of calls here.

Because the converter messes up blind raises and treats them as if the player had no money already in the pot.

bc the last time I played NL online, it was mostly prima 2/4 and 2/5. since then i played limit for a while, so when I jumped back into NL fast, now playing 5/10 6Max, i noticed a lot of the LAGish players playing back very hard w/ little to nothing. i was getting pushed off some hands too easily IMO. maybe being a little timid.

so, maybe i should have said, "not get pushed off by more lagish players."

If you're gonna go way over top of him on the turn, I like pushing back at him on that flop better. Giving him the turn gives him the chance to pick up a big hand (spade draw, though you'd have the redraw if he had that and caught).

His turn bet can't be an amount that he'll get off of if you move in on him. That's the key to this hand IMO. There's almost $500 in the pot on that turn and you've got about $850 left in your stack after his pot sized check raise on the flop. He's not gonna underbet on the turn, which means he'll either check, or he'll bet around $500 (which he did), which means your all in puts $1,850ish in the pot with $350 for him to call. Where's he goin, getting over 5 to 1 on a call after putting in two pot sized bets?

Decide on the flop.
