Default SoCal Poker Game

More speculation than invitation because I can't really host, but who lives in SoCal and would be interested in a home game?

Can I cheat?...cold-deck, hold-out, splash pots with less than full bets, look at neighbors cards, stiff the winners, etc.

As long as you don't get caught.

If you do get caught you can have the fun of getting 86'd.

I'm down for a home game. Although 'Southern California' is a pretty big place, .

I shouldn't host though. My apartment is far from ideal with respect to hosting a good poker game.

We could do it at my place; but that would involve notifying the gate guards and other staff of the pending arrival of several "shady" characters. I would also have to have the house-help catelog & store some of the more valuable household items. I'de probablity have to temporarily store some of my cars to have room for that many guests and, finally, I'de have to kennel the animals in the event that Yugo's longing for some "backdoor" action became uncontrollable...It's just too much trouble; let's just meet at the Bike instead

Yugo's longing for some "backdoor" action.

Not even 24 hours old and that Sexy Peja avatar has had quite an influence on the way this forum views Yugo.

Yugo - a crappy little apartment is the perfect place.

I don't want to host at my house because I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old.

I can possibly host at my office. It would probably end up being at least two tables then, because I would have to invite the people at my office. This would have the added benefit of providing some fish. My office is in Manhattan Beach - A fair commute for you people in the OC.

I can pretty much only play on Friday nights.

I have had Hawaiian Gardens host private games before. Pretty good set up, with your own dealer, waitress, and a private room. If you do a tourney they just charge a normal rake.

This prevents you from having to hide the valuables from the likes of Yugo.

Their normal rake is probably terrible.

I'm not letting a bunch of degenerates in the house with my kids, but I'm not worried otherwise.

Honestly though, I would just be worried about a bunch of drunken idiots making a lot of noise, waking up my baby, and pissing off my wife.

If Yugo has to rape someone's poodle, I think he is smart enough to hide behind a bush and grab one, rather than do it at an event that has been publicly discussed. However, if there is a shirtless eastern european athlete anywhere around....

Ugh. This 'poodle' type nonsense has got to stop.....it is even more important now that I get my avatar back.

I still say my apartment is a poor place for this thing. Although, in a worst case scenario I suppose it would work.

I like the idea of 2 tables at your office....sounds like good times. The problem here is that anyone who doesn't work with you would need to drive through rush hour traffic to get to the game.
