Top pair...autopush?

This is another play where it was +EV, but my $EV was largely negative. The shortstack would have been crippled by the blinds on the next orbit. Should I just call the bet and see the next card or fold, because of all the draws out there??

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (3 handed) converter

1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (t800) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets t400, Hero raises to t2810 (All-In), SB calls t2410.

Turn: (t6420) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t6420) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t6420

Results in white below: 
Hero has 9h 2h (two pair, nines and fours).
SB has 6d 7d (flush, ten high).
Outcome: SB wins t6420.

There's two schools of thought. One says play for first, settle for 3rd. The other says to slowdown if there's no preflop raise because the pot odds are miserable and there's more potential for BS hands to be in with you.

IMHO (which is only worth what you paid for it) I think with the blinds so high (everyone is <10BB), moving all-in with top pair / crappy kicker is only going to get a call by a hand that has a decent chance of beating you (like some dude sitting on 2nd pr with 11 outs and adhering to the first school of thought).

How aggressive is he? How likely is he to be betting with without holding anything? How likely are you to have a decent edge heads-up? These are all factors, but with zero reads at all, I am pushing. The 1200 in the pot is too juicy, and you are probably head. Yes, you are upping your variance quite a bit but I think it is +EV.

You have a weak top pair. You can't possibly fold and you don't want to give free cards, so this is a push for me.

Personally I'd fold (take my advice with a grain of salt cuz I'm a n00b compared to most ppl on here). Maybe I'd minraise if I was knew the guy was a BS'er, and fold to a reraise. Either way I'm sure I can catch a better hand before the blinds destroy me. I'm not betting the farm on this one. I guess that's why my friends call me Rabbi.

I do same, he really ought to think twice about calling with even a draw that strong imo, after all he must know he needs to catch a card, even though he is a likely small favourite. Its a coinflip and you got your money in first, nothing real bad about hisd call but you gave him the fold option he never gave you that option, good play. Next.
