Default Hold\'em starting hand questions

I've been looking at how often I'm dealt certain hands in hold'em (using PT).

I'd like to be able to tell if I've been dealt a hand more or less often than expected. I've been doing total hands/221 for pocket pairs, but I don't know if I'm oversimplifying there.

If that does work, what can I divide total hands by to find the expected # of a certain suited hand? Of an offsuit hand?

I tried figuring it out on my own, but I'm not really sure how to come up with the numbers for specific suited and offsuit hands.

Default Re: Hold\'em starting hand questions

Deviding total hands by 221 will give you the correct answer for a specific pocket pair.

AK suited the prob. is 8/52*1/51=.30% or 1 in 331.5 hands.

AK unsuited its 8/52*3/51=.905% or 1 in 110.5 hands.
