Default Best tool to download films?

So, I am using Shareza to get my music, and it is pretty good. It does not have many films though, unless you count those of the blue kind.

Any recommendations?

I like newsgroups the best. IRC, bitorrent, and DC++ are also pretty good.

BitTorrent is the easiest. TorrentSpy is a great source for finding BitTorrent files. They even have a Firefox extension to search their site.

I'm partial to newsgroups too, as the speed I get is generally a lot better than from BitTorrent downloads. I use a commercial newsgroup server (Giganews).

Is that still absurdly expensive (like $80 for a decent plan last I checked)? Cause comcast seriously gimped their service recently.

No--they have several pricing plans. It's not the cheapest commercial news server around but I've never had a problem with their service. I pay $19.95 a month for unlimited downloads/multiple connections/etc. They have less expensive plans as well but I download a lot of crap.

Can comcast still send you a DMCA letter for using that stuff?

No idea. My ISP is Time-Warner/RoadRunner, and I pretty much use Giganews for all my DMCA-violating needs.

Right now I'm using itunes, only because I have kids at work giving me those winning pepsi caps on a daily basis. After those run out, who knows? Also, itunes' library isn't as big as I think it should be.

Seriously?!?!? Times are changing. When I looked at it before, it was about 2 weeks retention on all the binaries, and unlimited downloads with no speed cap was well over $150. AT&T was offering free newsgroups with no cap with like 1 day retention at the time, so I started using that. Recently, however, it's changed to 1GB down/month, which just does not fly with me.
