Easy fold with KK?

Villian is a calling station so i think this was the right play here?

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, MP3 3-bets, 4 folds, Hero caps, MP3 calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP3 raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 7.75 BB

If villian is very passive then this might be OK, but even against a very passive player I generally 3-bet this flop and if capped I check/fold the turn UI...if just called then either check/fold or check/call the whole way...the pot isnt terribly big, but it is a reasonable size (your getting 8:1 on a turn call)

Why the hell would you play the flop this aggressively against a passive opponent?

well his stats were pretty basic 20% VPIP 3% PFR and .1 AF

if he is going to raise me on the turn i am toast atleast according to my read
