The guy was 30/5/1 after about 25 hands.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

1 fold, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, Hero raises, 5 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds.

Turn: (4.75 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

River: (6.75 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero ????

It's sorta like the situation for clarkmeister's, but I'm in the wrong position. Should I bet or take the free showdown?

If I bet, fold to a C/R?

Take the free showdown. If you bet you reasonably have to fold to the c/r.

Im confused with what this guy may be calling down with here. I dont see any reason for a value bet in this case.

Hes only calling (or raising) with a hand that beats you. Take the showdown and hope he doesnt have 2 pair afraid of the flush.

I'm guessing you had somewhat of a read to make that assumption? Even so, this doesn't seem like a good value betting opportunity.

No reads besides what I put in my original post. I just think a weaker queen will call here. (I also agree that it's not a good enough reason to value bet)
