Default I\'m getting a new computer - what software should I get on it?

The friend who is sorting me out with a cheap computer can 'acquire' just about any piece of software I want. So I have two questions:
1. What poker software should I put on my new computer. Specifically, should I choose PV or GT? Don't worry, PokerTracker will be acquired stictly legitimately.

2. What other (non poker) software should I ask him to get me, assuming I can choose anything at all that is available?

He's already going to sort me out with antivirus, firewall, adblocker software etc. I'm just interested in what else I should get.
