Default perma-tilt

Im sure everyone has had a bad run of cards but once it goes on for a while you almost forget how to win and start making mistakes. Does anyone have a method to get over this extended period of subtle tilt.

if you're on tilt, take a break for a week then only play the best tables a couple at a time.

if your just making more small mistakes then i believe that that's normal, and won't prevent you from turning a profit. so don't sweat it and play less tables and be selective about which ones you play.

Read a lot, and learn to play through it. Bad runs are something you have to get used to.

What's the extended period? Does it cover multiple gaming sessions? If it does, you're afraid of losing money. A good player must never be afraid of losing or he starts making bad decisions. If you begin tilting during a session due to a bad run of cards, just quit and proceed the next day with your normal winning play. When you start playing the next day, forget all about yesterday's bad run as it probably makes you play cautiously. If it doesn't help, go back to a lower limit...

Yeah man. It's called porn ^____^.

Seriously though, take a break, smoke a cigarette or take a walk or whatever you need to do to relax. Don't play in games you're not comfortable in and only play when you have more than a sufficient bankroll.

This gets easier with time.
