Playing the Bad Beat Jackpot at party.
I have been thinking about this over and over...Maybe it is a good idea to play on the Bad Beat JP I was watching a 3/6 game and I swear there was at least 4 players to the flop every round. Sure the rake is a little bit more, but you have somewhat implied odds to hit the JP even if it was just a table share that is huge. with or without the JP I think it may still be worth it to play just because of the weak players. any thoughts?

Bonuswhores goes over it a little bit I think, and it's +EV because the players are shitty, not because of the jackpot.

it's +EV because the players are shitty [/ QUOTE ] This is why I play BBJ. When the JP reaches around $200k (for 2/4, it gets higher for 3/6 and up) it becomes +EV to play for this reason alone, too. |

Re: Playing the Bad Beat Jackpot at party.
I've been playing it for over 2 months now and my personal opinion is that's it's worth paying the extra rake just for all the jackpot chasers. I don't expect to hit the jackpot, but in the back of my mind I figure it's sort of like a free lottery ticket every day...you just never know.

I personally have had a lot of luck w/ BBJPs once I got 2 table shares in one week at my local casino. total I have had 3 Table shares never the full 50% though
