Has anyone gone THE DISTANCE?.
A good LHE poker player can, on average, double his BR every 10,000 hands or so. Provided he/she finds games that he can beat at +3 BB/100 + rakeback. Let's give the player a full month to double his BR.
THE DISTANCE: Starting with $500 or less, go from Party 1-2 to Party 30-60 in 5 months or less, and play there for the rest of the year for a total yearly income of $500,000 or more in 250,000 Hands or less. The numbers say this is actually very possible in theory. Has anyone that you know of, gone THE DISTANCE?. |

Re: Has anyone gone THE DISTANCE?.
i would say that doubling you BR every 10k hands is very optimistic.

Re: Has anyone gone THE DISTANCE?.
I've went from a .50/1.00 bankroll to a $5/10 bankroll in less than 3 months. However, I don't think that's a great feat. If you add in the bad beat jackpots, I actually did go from a .50/1 to a 30/60 bankroll. The jackpot money was cashed out though to pay off loans.

Re: Has anyone gone THE DISTANCE?.
I think some of your assumptions are incorrect. A player will find it easy to crush 1/2 2/4 etc for 3/bb, but shifting to 15/30 etc will be tough...i dont think allowing for variance this can be done without being a total lucksack.

That's 1/4 of a way there without the JP... You did well. The stretch from 5-10 to 30-60 looks harder.

Re: Has anyone gone THE DISTANCE?.
That's why I allowed a full month to double, easy to put in way more than 10,000 hands in 1 month.
