Default World Poker Open

Put this in WPT/etc forum first but i thought I might be more likely find a kindred spirit here... so I present you my first cross-post ever.
----------------------
So I won a seat to the World Open on partypoker tonight. Looks like it will be a weird time- 14k per entry and a 1M prize pool suggests something like only 8 tables of 9... and it takes place in a tv studio.

Anyway, is anyone else going? Would like to meet up with you.

Also... where in London should I look for side games? Should I resign myself to playing PLO or is anything else played there now?

If it's like the European Open it's 6 seat sngs with top 1 or in this case I think 2 going through to next round. Also it's in Maidstone which is a long way from London for a side game although some of the guys did make a trip up to the Grosvenor Victoria, you could also try the Gutshot. I found I prefered to sit in the green room watching the other games live with hole cards cams. I learnt a lot but if I had been knocked out in the first round I might not have bothered Good Luck.

Wow that's wild. I'll have to brush up on my 6-handed NLHE over the next month. So what is there to do out by these studios, if london is a long ways off?
