Default What Bankroll is Needed for SNG\'s?

I've seen that the standard bankroll for limit games is 300 BB. What is the consensus on Sit-n-Gos? After 50 20+2 my ROI is 40% and I finish in the money 45% of the time.

30 buyins is standard. I prefer 50. Some of the wild ones will play with 20 or less, but that is often viewed as risky.

General consensus is 30-50 buyins. If you can reload with easy it simply doesn't matter but if you need to have a nice cushion in your account to play well, by all means have more than 50 buyins.

But, you have to be able to beat the game you're in too, .

This means nothing to me and it probably shouldn't to you either.

I doesn't mean nothing to me and it should not mean nothing to you or to the original poster. Using standard statiscal techniques, one could estimate the likelihood of this player having any given range of true ROI. Granted, if a high degree of confidence is desired, the range is quite wide. Nonetheless, this is infinitely more information than that based on zero sit and goes.

the range is quite wide.

Early contender for understatement of the year.

The 90% range for a break even player after 50 sngs is between -35% ROI and +38%

The 98% range is -47% and +55%

That post again

And so is 1 SNG, but the result from only 1 is still meaningless as to whether or not you're a winning player.
After reading about 30% ROI players having a 250 game stretch with a 0% ROI or even a -ve ROI, I tend to lean towards 50 SNGs being only slightly better than meaningless.

well, i recently had about a 50 buyin downswing in the 55s, and i am quite positivie i am a winning player. if you decide to look at this long term you need to have a VERY big bankroll to sustain the swings. they can be pretty brutal.

But infinitely less information than looking at a dozen or so HHs of actual play. Or hell, even a 15 minute conversation about SNG concepts and their application.
