Default Q8s - Post Flop Play Analysis

Was unsure how to play this river. Any comments on other streets? UTG had been playing solid. VP$IP was a little high but nothing crazy.

Button ($30.1)
SB ($32.4)
Hero ($25)
UTG ($24.4)
UTG+1 ($72.65)
MP1 ($23.4)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero checks.

<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to $3</font>, CO folds, Hero calls $2.

Don't minraise the turn. Other than that I like it.

The question is whether he would/could play a set or QJ this way. I doubt it. Maybe AQ w/the flush draw? I would push the rest in on the river.

You've only got about $9 left in front of you, so your choice is to try for another check-raise, shove it in now, or make an underbet to represent a busted draw and encourage him to come over the top with a second-best hand.

If he's not a complete moron, he's not going to call a push or fall for a second check-raise. I'd make a bet small enough that he has to call, and hope he pushes. $5.00 would look fishy, but if he's got a strong queen, he's going to have to call.

My two cents,

Sam

Shove it in on the turn. Since you didn't, check/call the river.

Agreed. Leaving 9 dollars behind is just foolish

Edit: Nevermind, misread.

I also think you should be a bit worried about villian holding 910.
