is it just me.....
or are there some truly awful players in the party 2/4 game? way more than at 1/2 it seems. my sample size is small but i've seen quite a few very loose passives. is the party 2/4 actually softer than the 1/2?

[/ QUOTE ] For the full ring games? Yeah. I've always noticed the same thing. But it's not surprising. The limits can be weird that way. Just because the limit is lower doesn't mean the game is softer. I think this is a prime example of that fact. |

Re: is it just me.....
I think 2/4 at party poker is very passive. I would say that ~5 ppl at a 10 seat table are Tight-Passive and the rest is Loose-Passive. You seldom find more than 2 Tight-Aggressive at a table (excluding yourself).

Re: is it just me.....
the worst 1/2 players to go 6-max, which has more action. it's the same reason that 5/10 and 10/20 full are the tightest games on Party

Re: is it just me.....
One really good explanation I heard for this is that 2/4 is typically the lowest limit offered in B&M, so those players naturally gravitate to 2/4 online as well since "that's my normal level".
What they don't realize is that the average online 2/4 game plays more like 5/10 live (or higher?), so they get pwned... 1/2 full on Party is a very weak tight game and can be beaten with good TAG play. You'll often find more "students" of the game at this level, who have ground/grinded their way up from lower limits, building a bankroll. 1/2 6 max is the land of milk and honey. Truly horrific players... Not uncommon for me to sit at a table for a hour and be the only guy with VPIP < 40. Good times when you get good cards and they hold up. Tom |

Re: is it just me.....
I would agree with this statement. 2/4 players seem much more passive than the 1/2. 2/4 was the first limit that I've seen someone hit their set on an uncoordinated board and not raise a single street (and I've seen this 3 times now.) It just blows my mind. Make it a ritual to play weeknight from 7-12pm and you are bound to find some of the softest 2/4 players around.

Re: is it just me.....
check the 2/4 bad beat tables
its a sucker prop bet but the players there are worse than the regular 2/4 tables i think most come in underbank rolled and play every hand they have if you get frustrated by "bad" play and Q7s chasing a flush to the river to beat your AA you better stay away |

Re: is it just me.....
I have always said that the party 1/2 games were tougher than 2/4 and 3/6. I don't know why.
