Default OT: don\'t give up hope when the ROI is negative

This mincemeat pie reflects my last 120 $20+2 finishes:

While I am hating life right now -- okay, not really -- I must realize that I'd be cracking champagne bottles if half of those 4ths were ITM instead. In fact, I believe that those bubble busts could just have easily been 1st places.

Good variance waits around the corner, even if everything sucks right now.

However, if this funeral march were to last for 500 games, I'd know that there was a huge hole in my game. The stats keep me sane, and they can keep you sane too.

Just because you are in a bad streak does not mean a good streak is about to hit you.

To any others for whom knowledge of the obvious is lacking:

1) The sky is blue.
2) What goes up must come down.
3) 1 + 1 = 2.

Sorry for being snarky. But you deserve it.

The original post wasn't made to give false hope that good streaks follow bad streaks; rather, good play will be rewarded in the long run. If you can see how easily a bad ROI could have been a good ROI, then you don't need to consider offing yourself because of a short-term loss.
